What does WoodFlooring.com.sg do?
WoodFlooring.com.sg is the wood-flooring arm of Ezzogenics Pte Ltd. We supply and install parquet, solid timber and engineered wood floors in Singapore, and provide wood floor sanding, varnishing, parquet repair and restoration. Bona premium coating systems are offered as a higher-cost option alongside standard water-based and oil-based varnishes.
Where do you operate?
We work across Singapore — HDB flats, condominiums, landed properties, shophouses, offices and commercial interiors. Our office and coordination point is at Bartley Biz Centre, Blk 15 Kaki Bukit Rd 4, #01-44, Singapore 417808.
What hardwood species do you install?
Common species are Burmese teak (Janka ~1,155 lbf), oak (Janka ~1,360 lbf), walnut (Janka ~1,010 lbf) and hard maple (Janka ~1,450 lbf). Other species can be supplied on a project basis subject to availability and price. Final selection depends on the look, expected traffic and budget.
Solid timber, parquet or engineered wood — which is right for my home?
Parquet uses short hardwood blocks in patterns (standard, herringbone, chevron); it suits Singapore homes well and gives a traditional or contemporary look depending on the pattern. Solid timber planks give a long, continuous look and can be refinished many times. Engineered wood is more dimensionally stable in tropical conditions and is often less expensive than equivalent solid hardwood. We recommend the option that fits your room, lifestyle and budget on a site visit.
Is wood flooring suitable for Singapore’s humidity?
Yes, when installed and maintained correctly. Material is acclimatised on-site before laying, expansion gaps are left at the perimeter, and indoor humidity should stay within a reasonable range (broadly 50–70%). Engineered wood moves less than solid timber in humid conditions and is often specified in high-rise units with strong air-conditioning cycles.
How long does a sanding and varnishing job take?
For a typical 3-bedroom unit, sanding plus 2–3 coats of varnish takes 3–5 working days on a clear, furniture-free floor. Bona premium systems may shorten or lengthen this slightly depending on the chosen product. Curing for full use (rugs, heavy furniture) is typically a further 5–7 days per the manufacturer technical data sheet.
What’s the difference between water-based and oil-based varnish?
Water-based varnishes have lower odour, faster recoat times and a clearer film that leaves the wood close to its sanded colour. Oil-based finishes (melamine, oil-modified PU) tend to amber the wood with a warmer tone, with slower cure and stronger initial odour. Both are durable when applied correctly; the choice is one of appearance, smell, schedule and budget.
How is Bona different from standard varnish?
Bona is a Swedish wood-coating brand widely used in residential, commercial and sports applications. Bona Domo (water-based, 1-component) and Bona Mega (water-based, oxygen-crosslinking PU) are common premium choices for homes; Bona Drifast is a stain system and Bona Mix&Fill is a colour-matched gap filler. Bona finishes generally cost more than standard water-based or oil-based varnish — we present it as a higher-end option on the quotation, not the default.
Is sanding really dust-free?
We use vacuum-equipped sanders that capture most of the dust at source — usually described as "near dust-free". No sanding system in routine site use removes 100% of airborne particles, so adjacent rooms should still be sheeted off and soft furnishings covered.
Can my old parquet floor be restored rather than replaced?
In most cases yes, if 70–80% of the parquet blocks are sound. Loose, damaged or missing blocks are replaced where the original species and size are available; the floor is then sanded back to bare wood and finished with new varnish. Where more than a third of the floor is loose, swollen or water-damaged, full removal and re-laying may give a better long-term result.
Do you handle furniture move-out and protection?
Yes — we coordinate furniture move-out, protect skirting and adjacent surfaces, and sheet off doorways. Move-out / move-in costs are stated separately on the quotation so they can be removed if the owner is handling that part of the work.
How do I request a site visit and quotation?
Email david@ezzogenics.com or call +65 6968 3098 / +65 9632 0750 (also on WhatsApp). Provide site address, scope summary (new installation, sanding and varnishing, or restoration), approximate floor area and any photos. We respond within one working day for standard enquiries and most jobs lead to a site visit within one working week.
What warranty do you provide?
Workmanship and material warranties depend on the system specified on the project — Bona finishes, standard water-based and oil-based coatings, and individual wood species suppliers each carry their own published terms. The applicable warranty is stated on each quotation. We do not make blanket "guaranteed for life" claims that go beyond the supplier coverage.
